A real call
An ordinary phone call through the system dialer, so it cuts through silent mode and Do Not Disturb.
Android 7+ · Free
When Fajr comes in, your phone calls the people you chose — one after another — until someone picks up.
Everyone has met the failure mode: the alarm goes off, a hand reaches out, and the morning is gone with it. A notification is something you dismiss while still asleep. A ringing phone is somebody waiting on the other end.
Your friend needs no app and no internet — only a phone.
An old habit between friends — one wakes and rings the rest — only automated.
Pick your companions from your contacts and set the hour — or let it follow Fajr in your city and move with it.
An exact alarm wakes the app on time, even with the app closed and the screen off.
It rings the first. If nobody answers it moves to the next, until someone wakes or the list runs out.
Every call is recorded — answered or not. That is what your daily streak and your badges are built from.
Everything on your device, everything in your hands.
An ordinary phone call through the system dialer, so it cuts through silent mode and Do Not Disturb.
One for Fajr, another for work or family — each with its own hour and days.
Prayer times computed on your device for your country and school, and the list moves with Fajr every day.
How long it rings, how long it waits between calls, and whether it stops at the first answer.
No account, no sign-in. Numbers and names live in a database on your phone and are never sent anywhere.
Prayer times and calling need no network. The internet is only for update checks.
Every morning a companion answers counts as a day in your streak. There are badges, levels, and a shared streak with each friend.
What is counted is answering the wake-up call, not the prayer. The app knows a phone was answered; it knows nothing about what came after.
Because it cannot call without it. Asking plainly beats hiding the question.
The app has no server. Your contacts and numbers are never transmitted.
Releases are published on the Telegram channel first, with the APK and its changelog.
If your phone asks about "unknown sources", allow it once and continue.
iOS has no public way to place a phone call without the user tapping the call button, and no way to run code at an exact time in the background to do it. That is a platform limit, not a feature we are putting off.
Requires Android 7.0 or newer, on a phone that can place a call.
The whole codebase is on GitHub — read it, check for yourself what the app does, or build on it.

Sohbat Al-Fajr began as part of طمأنينة, split into its own app so it would run on the oldest and cheapest phone its users own.
